To increase the boost in the Holden L67 engine we recommend the installation of the Yella Terra Supercharger snout upgrade. This is a bolt on package that is provided inclusive of 10psi supercharger pulley, idler pulley, supercharger snout, gasket & adhesive and supercharger oil. This uses the standard supercharger belt. This upgrade is only recommended after the installation of performance extractors, to assist with heat dispersion.

Additionally we offer a performance tuned Memcal chip to suit the Yella Terra Supercharger snout upgrade. This provides enhancements above the standard Holden tune to suit these aftermarket modifications, transmission shift changes for improved driveability as well as settings for the use of higher octane fuel.

Replacing the supercharger pulley alone will eventually destroy the supercharger bearing, an indicator of this is a noisy bearing. In time the pulley bolts can seize up and we have seen the pulley shear off and fly off through the bonnet. Other instances include supercharger failure and/or engine failure. The Yella Terra snout upgrade is the way to go for engine longevity.

The ChipTorque performance memcal is provided with tuning modifications to deliver increases in acceleration by improving and correcting ignition and fuel curves to deliver the best torque no matter what modification your vehicle has installed. Upgrading the factory ECU, as opposed to the use of an aftermarket ECU, means that all of the nice “factory” driveability is retained, particularly on light throttle and highway cruise, to deliver the best all round result in performance and economy. Specialising in tunes to suit engine modifications such as camshaft, head porting, manifold or fuel injector upgrades, ChipTorque can customise your vehicle’s program to recalibrate transmission gear shift points (VR-VT only), cooling fan control and rev limiters to achieve the best power and torque. For VR - VT we can set up an automatic ECU and wiring loom to work with a manual transmission conversion and remove the vehicle speed sensor if necessary. Additionally we can accommodate the changes required for engine conversions including removal of the vehicle anti-theft system to bypass the body control module.

Holden Performance Memcal
Plug-in style chip that replaces the factory unit in the vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU). Enhances aftermarket modifications ie. exhaust, camshaft, other engine modifications and more.  Custom tuning available for engine conversions to by-pass the vehicle anti-theft system or for transmission conversions.

We require ECU's 4 digit code and details of modifications for mail orders. The Memcal is supplied with a vehicle specific ChipTorque performance tune.

Supports Holden Commodore VN - VT models.

 
 

ChipTorque's performance memcal replaces the factory unit internally in the vehicle Engine Control Unit (ECU). Our memcal comprises of a hardware upgrade to enable a fully reprogrammable product and a ChipTorque performance tune to suit aftermarket exhaust, engine modifications and more.

HP0 Performance Memcal
Aftermarket tune to suit a standard vehicle to provide performance enhancements to suit higher octane fuel and improve on the factory tune. This product may not be beneficial in power gains for some vehicle models.

HP1 Performance Memcal
Aftermarket tune with corrections in fuel and timing to provide performance tune enhancements to suit a sports exhaust system with standard headers and higher octane fuel. This product may not be beneficial in power gains for some vehicle models.

HP2 Performance Memcal
Aftermarket tune with corrections in fuel and timing to provide performance tune enhancements to suit a sports exhaust system, aftermarket extractors and higher octane fuel. This is the base tune level provided for many vehicle models.

HP3 Performance Memcal
Aftermarket tune with corrections in fuel and timing to provide performance tune enhancements for aftermarket modifications at the level of a sports exhaust system, aftermarket extractors, mild camshaft 200-210 degrees duration @ 0.050" or higher ratio roller rockers and higher octane fuel.

HP4 Performance Memcal
Aftermarket tune with corrections in fuel, timing and idle parameters to provide tune enhancements for performance and driveability for aftermarket modifications at the level of a sports exhaust system, extractors, camshaft with a duration around 210-218 @ 0.050" and higher octane fuel.

HP5 Performance Memcal
Aftermarket tune with corrections in fuel, timing and idle parameters to provide tune enhancements for performance and driveability for aftermarket modifications at the level of a sports exhaust system, extractors, camshaft with a duration around 218-225 @ 0.050" and higher octane fuel. It is highly recommended with this size camshaft to have higher compression than standard.

Custom Performance Memcal
Aftermarket custom tune with corrections in fuel, timing, idle parameters and rev limiters to provide tune enhancements for performance and driveability for aftermarket modifications at the level of a sports exhaust system, extractors, other camshafts up to approximately 242 degrees @ 0.050" and higher octane fuel. Custom memcals are also suitable for headwork, larger injectors, fuel systems, throttle bodies, manifolds, stroker kits and more. Custom tunes produce the best result when dyno tuned, please contact ChipTorque to discuss if we can provide a mail order solution or startup tune to suit your specific modifications.

Custom memcals may also be required for HP4 or lower performance modificatons in an event where ChipTorque's tuners need to make specific changes to the tune to suit engine or transmission conversions or allowing for modifications not listed in the above memcal definitions. This also applies to turning off specific fault codes or ECU features as well as accommodating unrecommended modifications like a higher rev limit or excessively large injectors.

2Bar Custom Memcal
This memcal differs in hardware as well as tuning for most applications and features special coding within the tune to enable support using the factory ECU for forced induction enhancements like aftermarket supercharger or turbocharger upgrades. This product works with a 2 Bar MAP sensor upgrade to correctly tune for up to 2 Bar (14.5psi) of boost pressure. For MAP sensor based vehicles the standard 1 Bar MAP sensor is replaced, but for air flow meter based vehicles removal of the MAF sensor and wiring in a 2 Bar MAP sensor is required.

ChipTorque's 2 Bar Custom Memcal enhances the factory ECU to set it up to recognise positive boost pressure and our specialised programming ensure that the vehicle's tuning responds in an optimal way by controlling the factory EFI sensors. As forced induction is a significant vehicle enhancement it is best to have your vehicle custom dyno tuned at ChipTorque for optimal results.
